Paintball is on track to take over the Mall in Chicago for the first time ever, and the weekend festivities could be epic.
In fact, Paintball Sports has announced that the event, which will take place on Saturday, March 5th, is projected to draw more than 70,000 attendees to Chicago’s Chicago Park, the largest indoor paintball field in the U.S.
The Mall of Americas is home to more than 60 million people and has seen a spike in attendance as the holiday season approached.
The event will be hosted by Chicago Paintball Association (CPAA), which will run the event.CPAA president Mark S. Taylor said that they are aiming to have a total capacity of around 50,000 to 60,000, which he said is more than double what they have had in previous years.
The CPAA has said they plan to hold events in more than 50 cities around the world this holiday season.
CPAA President Mark S, Taylor said.CPAs attendance has grown over the years as the sport has grown in popularity.
In 2017, the event drew over 4,000 players from the United States and Canada.
Last year, the CPAA had around 6,000 active players.
For many people who play paintball for fun, the day will be a chance to unwind after a long day at work or to enjoy a bit of a rest from the stresses of life.
But for those who play the game for the ultimate prize, there will be some major challenges ahead.
The last time the Mall opened for paintball was back in February 2017.
The event was cancelled for safety reasons and had only 1,000 participants in attendance.
The next big challenge for CPAs attendance is the high number of injuries that can occur.
The Chicago Police Department reported an increase in the number of serious injuries from paintball related incidents from 2017 to 2018.CPA President Mark Taylor said the event is still scheduled for Sunday.
