The gun store may be selling cheap guns, but a gun shop is also selling paintball guns.
And that’s just one way to look at it.
Here are some of the gun shops selling paintballs in the District and elsewhere:Paintball stores in the DC area have been popping up on Craigslist, a website that connects sellers with buyers, as well as on social media.
The locations are typically tucked into garages or garage lots.
But one local business owner is not satisfied with the state of paintball in the capital.
On Wednesday, he started a petition asking the D.C. Council to declare the DSA’s policy of prohibiting the sale of paintballs a violation of the city’s anti-gun violence law.
The petition has garnered more than 1,000 signatures, according to its website.
The DSA has been vocal about its stance against the sale and use of paint.
In January, the organization released a report that said “the number of children who are shot and killed by police and other people who are perceived to be ‘bad guys’ each day has doubled in just over a year.”
It also said that there is “little evidence” that the practice is related to guns, and that it was “not based on any science.”
The D.J.S.A. has yet to respond to the petition.
